I drive a 2010 Disco 4 SD V6 with no problems. However, I recently bought a 2004 Td5 second hand with 170 000 km on the clock. I have had to replace two oil coolers in 2000 km, only to discover (no pun intended), once again, oil in the water/coolant. One independent workshop suggested that, if not the oil cooler, the engine block may be cracked; but if that were the case, would it not result in water getting into the engine oil (leading to a white milky mix) rather than the opposite,resulting in the (black) oil in water I find as a recurring (and very expensive) problem?
