Gearbox 200Tdi

Can any one give me advice please. I live in Madagascar and get a Gearbox (LT77) from SA soon.
Q - is it easier to first take the Transfer box off and then the gearbox?

I had difficulty for some time to select gears and then suddenly no power through to drive train but a fair amount of noise directly under gear lever. I think the input shaft or main shaft "snapped"
Still battling, man alone to get box out.
Have a nice day
Dries

Took Transfer box off and checked, no prob.
Took gearbox off, no prob.
Checked clutch plate, broke into pieces - the actual culprit and not gearbox

Yeah I didn't want to diagnose based on your previous post.

My experience is that the LT77 doesn't just simply break a shaft.

Clutch and pressure plate will be far cheaper. You should have checked before you shipped the spare box.
