V8 SMOKING

Hello all.
From previous posts, you will all remember that Brian from Landyonline put the Leyland 4.4 V8 engine with Disco V8 gearbox in my ex. Defender 110 Tdi SW with great success.
My problem was that the rockers (tappits) was noisy, so I took the Landy to Richie Landrover for an oil change and to set the carb.
The "gasometer" (whatever you call it, I made that up), registered 7 and they managed to set the carb to 3.
They replaced the oil with Shell Helix Ulra, and since then the Landy is smoking grey when the oil temperature goes over 50 degrees on the EMS2.
It did not smoke before, just smelling a lot of petrol when idling.
