Luckily the press haven't heard all the Puma recalls that LR do quietly during the services. I could write a book on all the faults so far on mine and still 1 year left on the Warrenty.

The point of the LR problems not going to press is valid, but LR does make public announcements and admit when there is something wrong. Toy on the other hand does not. I refer to the big handling problem of the Fortuner pre facelift. Toy did not admit that it is their sub standard shocks causing near fatal accidents to countless tunas. Blame the drivers tyres. Just funny how the driver usually was doing 60-80 on a straight dirt road. Minor corrugation, back end out body roll. Funnyer when the owner fits after market shocks the problem disappear

It's not all bad though, I got a nice set of ex-4-Tuna tyres for a nice bargain and they fit pretty nicely on my Landy, ans funny enough my Landy feels MORE stable than with the old tyres! I wonder what would happen if you fit a set of 7-50x16 to a 4-Tuna and take it for a spin on a corrugated gravel road... hmmm... come on Difflock devilliers and Andre Salt-n-Peppa give us a update on this one!

I have to say that i have done 20 000km with my Puma and no issues what so ever. As for the recalls The asked me for my bin number and told me the want to see if there are any recalls on mine, so they did not keep it from me. Guess it just depends on the stealer.

As for the toyotas they are suppose to be bullet proof, oops.

The fuel breather mod I did myself beforehand but it was already too late and I got a tank full of water and silt.

I was supprised how long it took for my break pipe to be re-routed that was rubbing on the heat shield. I would have thought they would phone to get them in immediately.

I have to say that must have been frustrating as hell!!! I have to add my service for the 20 000km was R2 029.00, do you think it was fair, seemes we going off the topic a little...LOL!!!

My 20,000km service was R4,5K in december. I did ask them to replace the oil in the gearboxes and diffs at the same time. Given that and the fact that the air filter is around R750 bucks on its own your service cahrge was probably justified although not fair......
