My D4 is in pristine condition, I've had it for a year and only put on 10,000km since then, most of it long distance and highway. As of right now, the odometer reads 95,450km.
I did a ZF gearbox fluid change as soon as I got the vehicle and also got VPS along the sides and anti-smash windscreen tinting (makes a big difference).
It has been off-road a few times and performs faultlessly, especially since I put on Hankook AT tyres.
Although this is an SE model, I have enabled a few HSE features with my IID tool (no, you don't get the tool).
LR Care plan expires end of October 2016, but I did get the LR 2-year warranty with the purchase, which will transfer to the new owner. so although services will be out of pocket, you have the backup of the warranty.
In the time I've had it, there have been no major mechanical issues, only minor stuff like the rear wiper not going off, etc. All the recalls have been done, and all work carried out by LR Stellenbosch, last service was at the end of August.
According to my broker: "2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 TD/SD V6 SE – trade R412,900 / retail R470,900".
I paid R440k for it in October 2015, I guess R420k is a fair asking price?
