Re: Forewward-Backward Motion

Hi Dries,
Splines, splines and more splines.....You might want to check prop-shaft, side-shafts and diff spider assemblies....In that order. I had those done to remove that pull away CLUNK!

Theo

ps. It's rather sad to see so little movement on this forum.

Re: Td5 cutting out

Hey Guys,

Re: Power Stearing

Start turning the steering left and right with small turns going wider and wider, checking and correcting the fluid level. This should help the air lock...

Re: Td5 viscose fan bearing

Hi Joos, Thanks for that link. Unfortunately I was pushed for time as I am on the road most the time. I took it to someone that was referred to me by the guy I buy all my spares from. R 1 850.00 and about 5 hours later is not to bad. When I got my car back, the noise was still there. I made a u-turn...

Td5 viscose fan bearing

Hallo? Is there anyone out there? Viscose fan bearing starting it's nonsense. Only when I give it gas in first and second gear, I hear a little screech. However, if I drive like an old man (which I am ) then all seems ok. No noise. Any short cut besides head and sump off? Anyone knows the correct be...

Re: Revs

Hi Dave, thanks for your input. While shunting on the Hiway yesterday, I noticed that the heat gauge was fluctuating and then hit the blue line solid. I pulled over, high idle again. I popped the hood and when I touched the heat sensor plug, the Rev's came down. Checked the heat guage and it was nor...

Big skrik.

Td5......Pulled away from the traffic light on T junction and had no power steering. Looked down to the instrument panel and saw battery lite on. Pulled over and opened bonnet. All seemed in order but for fresh oil on crank pulley. Called my friend to tow me home with his Isuzu   . Got ho...
