Replacing the old su's will require a new manifold do they supply all is it very costly and more important how effective? can the old su's be reconditioned somewhere.

All of a sudden my V8 is idling to high without me having fiddled with anything. The carbs idling screws are allready turned all the way in. Choke goes all the way back. Have not adjusted the timing at all as years ago i put in breakerless points. 1985 V8 3500. What shouls the timing be as a matter ...

Starts fine when cold but not when hot. Emitting lots of black smoke. Has become very heavy on fuel and definitely down on power.

1985 v8 shows hot soon after starting the engine. Have replaced the thermostat and the heat sender unit. Where do I go from here?
